Four Things

Why this chart

4 things this chart does that nothing else on your shelf can

In 1871 a minister drew every nation as a colored stream and every life as a bar the length of its years. ~ 6,000 years, starting from 4004 B.C. to 2,000.

23 feet long. Starting from Adam and Eve.

01

You see who lived when, for the whole of Scripture and the whole of the world

Every life drawn as long as it lasted. Egypt, Israel, Assyria, China. Biblical figures. Confucius, the Buddha, and the fall of Jerusalem within a lifetime of each other. For the first time in history, you're going to be able to see how the people in the Old Testament overlapped each other.

It folds into a book, 23 feet that lives on a shelf

Twenty-one panels, hardback. Open one panel on the table, or all of it down a hallway.

03

It's the 1871 chart, not a modern redraw

The third edition sharpens the reproduction, but the streams, the lifespan bars, and the Victorian lettering are Adams' own. What you hold is what an educated American saw in 1871.

Made to be used, and it lasts for generations

Heavy stock, sewn hardback, folded rather than rolled. The chart is printed on a heavy paper, so it holds up well to repeated use.

FAQ

Good to know

What to know before you order.

Format, content and shipping details.

Is it a book or a fold-out chart?

Both. It's one continuous chart, accordion-folded between hard covers. Open a single panel at the table, or stretch the full 23 feet across a room, then fold it back into book form when you're done.

Does it cover Biblical history?

Yes. The chart follows Biblical chronology from 4004 B.C. and sets it side by side with the histories of Egypt, Assyria, Greece, Rome, China and more. It reflects Sebastian Adams' 1871 view of history, not a modern scholarly timeline.

Is it for homeschooling or adult readers?

Both. Families can start from familiar names and events and follow the streams outward, while adults can dig into the detail on their own. The small print and Victorian wording mean younger children will get the most out of it with a grown-up alongside.

Can I see the artwork up close before buying?

Yes. Zoom into the product photos to see the original 1871 lettering, illustrations and colored streams in detail.

What's included with my purchase?

One hardcover fold-out chart: twenty-one panels, about 23 feet long when fully opened.
